It's a nice service, however ... some expats have said "Oh, I just ran it through Parsit and it came out fine!" How would they know? Could they read the pretty Thai? No. Did they double-check the translation with an English-literate Thai? No. The NECTEC service is nice, but is mostly used by Thais with poor English doing casual web surfing.

In addition to English-to-Thai, Parsit also has a longstanding Thai-to-English translation project, but it doesn't work well. Indeed, just their Thai "word break" WBR system struggles, as you can see for yourself on the above link.

The dictionaries there are good.
